Thank You to Our Awesome Family...

For those of you who don't know we had a pretty bad week last week. Monday night, I started having really bad stomach aches. The aches got continually worse every single night as the week progressed. The pain was in my abdomen and lower back. I was going the entire night without sleeping. Finally on Friday I went to see my Dr. My usual Dr. wasn't available so I had a new male Dr. (new for me). He was positive the pain I described was contractions. He sampled my cervix as well as felt it to see if it was thin from the contractions. He said for sure it felt very thin to him which was a very bad sign of pre-term labor. He felt for sure my test would come out positive to show I was at risk due to all the contractions. He ordered me to bed rest for the next two weeks and said I'd most likely be on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy... depending on the results of this test which he felt very strongly would come out positive. Over the weekend our entire family fasted and prayed for us. We were SO worried our baby was going to come four months early. The Sunday our fast ended Kyle gave me a blessing and that night (last night) was the first night the pain was way better. All day Sunday I felt such peace and comfort. I knew everything was going to be alright and I knew the prayers of ourselves and our family had been answered. This morning the nurse called to tell me my test was NEGATIVE and they had me in for a cervical ultrasound to double check the cervical lining which came out great.

I am SOOOO grateful for the prayers and fasting of our family, it has truly made all the difference in our lives and the life of our new baby. She is so lucky to have such a wonderful, caring family waiting for her arrival.

Amy,
David and I are so glad that everything is better. We love you so much and will keep praying for you and your new little one. What a blessing to have the test come back negative. At the same time you should really take advantage of getting more days off of work & get some much needed rest after such a scare :)
