Today was Shawna's baby shower! She is having another girl. We celebrated at Shenandoah. I looked forward to this all week b/c I love this restaurant and I love this girl!

Giving Up...
I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner.
I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy See's Candy with it instead of dinner?' No, I had to stop eating See's years ago', the homeless woman told me.'
Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked.'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless woman said. 'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive .
''Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked.'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!
''Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.'The homeless Woman was shocked. 'Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting.
' I said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and See's.'

Too Hot!
This weekend required lots of water and lots of sunscreen!!!

Audrey got to go swimming at Aunt Kellie's with the whole family for her first swim.

We stopped by 7-eleven for Kyle to get a diet coke (he had a craving) and he walked out with the biggest drink I've ever seen in my entire life! It was so heavy we couldn't even pass it back and forth in the car.
We ended our HOT day with some play time in front of the air conditioner

Disney Princess
Audrey is finally a Disney princess like all of her friends!!
I took Audrey to Disneyland for the first time last Monday night all by myself. Basically...I was out of control due to the lack of supervision. We had to go shopping for new Disney gear before we even entered the park. I had Audrey in her new sweatshirt before I had even paid for it (I'm sure the workers thought I was stealing it). I then proceeded to walk around the store asking people to take pictures of her. Once we entered the park Audrey got excited over the lights all over main street...at this point I started crying uncontrollably. People were staring. I had to step aside and get some control. Next, was the fire works show. I waited while standing with 17lb. Audrey in the Bjorn for twenty minutes until it started so that we could have a good view for her first fireworks show. Once the show began the events from main street occurred all over again. Audrey got excited while I bawled my brains out for the entire twenty minute show. I'm sure the people smashed up against us were wondering how they got so lucky. Anyway, we now have our season pass and we're excited to go with our friends. I promise to be on better behavior next time.

Happy Father's Day Dad!

We had dinner at Kyle's family's house. We got to see Grandma Thompson and Pat and Janice from AZ. We just got to see them for a minute but it sure was a good minute.
We started off the day with presents and breakfast at my parent's house.

We went straight to an Elmo B-day bash for little Noah. Here is Kyle and Eric (with Noah and Audrey). They worked together at KPMG and have become great friends.

Audrey had her first encounter with a balloon. All she wanted to do was hold onto it and lick it!
She wouldn't look Elmo in the eyes. She said she doesn't trust him.
Next, we went to my friend Allison's graduation party. Allison just got her Masters in nursing at UCLA.
Her dog was even cheer leading for the occasion!

We went to the zoo a couple weeks ago with our friends. It was Audrey's first time and she seemed to enjoy it. She's pretty happy with anything outdoors. I think the train ride was her favorite.

Freakin Weekend !
Last weekend Audrey had her first cold :-( . It was so sad. We stayed in all weekend and missed out on all our fun plans. So...we had to make up for it this weekend.
I started off my weekend with a hot date Friday night with this guy!
We went to the movies!!!! Our first movie since Audrey was born. We saw "Baby Momma"...I give it three and a half stars. It was funny but not hilarious.

When we got back to Grandma's house Audrey was in her jammies and all ready for bed.
Saturday morning we went to Nick's.
Audrey had her first Nick's breakfast burrito. She'll get a better taste once she can eat.
