Baby Thompson
Every time we find out the sex of a new baby we have the ultrasound tech seal the sex in an envelope. We take the envelope to the bakery and have a cake made with a layer of blue frosting in the middle or a layer of pink frosting in the middle. Then, we have a party and cut the cake with our family and we all find out together. Tonight we had our cake party!
Audrey was the hostess...she was in charge of the theme. I took her to Alin Party and she was VERY excited to have a minnie and mickey mouse party. Her Halloween costume is Minnie so that might have had something to do with it.
We enjoyed dinner with the family first and let the anxiety grow for an hour or so.

Linda Jones of Cakes N Crumbs made our adorable cake. She whipped the whole thing up this afternoon. And of course it was delicious! I did red polka dots for our Micky/Minnie theme.
AND...it's a girl! Yay, just what I wanted! I really, really want Audrey to have a sister so my wish came true. KT is just excited for another baby...we all know he's been wanting another since the day Audrey was born!
We let Audrey cut open the cake.

Big Sister
Kyle really hopes our next baby is a boy and Audrey really hopes it's a girl. Kyle has been trying to get Audrey used to the idea of a baby brother.
KT: "Audrey, are you excited for a new baby brother?"
Aud: "NO baby brother, NO! I want a baby sister!!!"
KT: "Wouldn't you like to have a little baby Carter?"
Aud: (thinks about it for a second and then replies) "I want a baby Ella!"

Still Alive
Ahoy!
Hi friends! Sorry for being such a lazy blogger lately! We are still alive but unfortunately our computer is barely alive and b/c of it, uploading pictures or anything is so obnoxious and sometimes just impossible.
I've finally gotten out of my first trimester (I'm about 14 or 15 weeks along) and feeling SO much better. I laid on my couch for a couple months and things got pretty nasty around here. But...I have emerged and we are back to business as usual.
